Watching The Expanse for the first time

Really enjoying this show. It's giving me feel good vibes that I can't quite explain. Good cast and setting I suppose, and maybe it's scratching the Firefly itch (and actually am finding it better than Firefly).
Several months back I got to S1E9 but stopped for some unknown reason (probably sidetracked by some other show or something); I decided to just start fresh again.

I watched the whole series for the first time over the last month. Was legit sad when it was over. Really well done show. One of the few in the last few years where I would have to stay up and watch that extra episode instead of going to sleep.

I love the way Amos is portrayed, he gives that feeling of being an unpredictable chaos agent whenever he's on the screen. There's always this feeling that there's an equal chance he could break into massive violence or simply ignore whatever's going on.
It's the same sort of portrayal I see with Homelander. It makes for a special, captivating sort of tension.

Amos my be my favorite character. He's so original with a history that is horrid and shaped his cold, pragmatic, give no fricks mindset.
The Season where they are back on earth and he runs in to his brother are great.

Amos is much more controlled than Homelander. I get it though when Amos goes off he leaves no doubt who comes out on top.

With everyone else on Amos. He played the shite out of that character. I binged this show before the last season in just a few weeks. Got hooked. Good show. May give it a rewatch.

Top 5 all time show for me and best sci fi show of all time. It’s amazing how smart the show/book are and how much they think through everything. There is nothing in there that doesn’t have a purpose. They don’t leave you having to make logical leaps of faith into how things work in space. They have an explanation for everything.

Crazy to think it was essentially canceled because not enough sci-fi fans were watching while it was aired initially on SyFy. Props to Amazon for the save.

It just kept getting better with each rewatch. And like the OP, I didn’t immediately get caught up with this show. I had to go back & give it a second try before it grabbed me.
And so many great characters. Just when I’ve convinced myself that I’m team Amos, there’s Carmina Drummer, or Miller, or Bobbi Draper, Avasarsla… the lines they give to that woman!
