What does James Borrego do?

Is he the water bottle guy?
Does he point to where the 3pt line is before practice and then go to Commanders to stop Zion from getting a 3rd dessert?
frick man. This guy is a decent coach. Our offense is terrible and his system would do wonders to help with our talent lacking.

Im not sure. Honestly not sure whst the dynamics are. Who’s drawing up the plays? Are players even listening to him? Is Willie listening to him? Does he just suck??

Borrego helps Green but at the end of the day, it's Green's decision to run iso heavy offense. Borrego input is most likely around whatever Green wants to run.

Willie in postgame likes the effort, there are positives, stay together and adversity is part of life. Im so tired of this bullshite.

I don't blame Green
I blame the fraud of a GM we have.
It's the same as the Saints. Run it back yet it only gets worse.

Remember when Willie didn’t coach a game (I think it was Charlotte) and the offense looked completely different? I remember.

It was against Dallas and Borrego did an amazing job. I can promise you Griff know this as well.

Ehhh
Is this like when LSU fans tried to keep saying that Billy Gonzales was a good offensive mind even though the results kept telling a different story?
Yes, Willie Green is Les Miles in this case.

Well Willie Green does seem like he coaches while he eats grass.

The idea of Borrego is better than the reality if Borrego . He’s the back up QB.
He has a sub .500 record as a head coach .

His roster in Charlotte was awful.

His system didn’t do enough to win games with talent lacking in Charlotte .

If you are going to name changes , start at the top and clean house totally . Organizationally there isn’t anyone worth saving and pretending Borrego is the savior is a fools errand .

He went 43-39 in his last year with bums and got fired, most people were confused at the firing.

I mean season is basically lost and we know Willie aint it. Fire Willie and give Borrego 70 games to show hes better. If hes not you can find a new coach in the offseason. Theres just no benefit in keeping Willie as the head coach right now.

One of the few teams in NBA history with 5 guys that averaged over 15ppg.

They were so good that Borrego fooled Griffin into thinking that Devonte Graham was a good player and we gave him a long term deal. That dude is out of the league now lol.

That was the year before. But it was similar. They had a bunch of guys score a lot of points. They still didn't win a lot though. I don't know if a team can be super successful built around Ball though. I'd blame him more than Borrego..

They were also 6th in the league in 3PA at 38 a game.
The next year after he left they shot 32 a game.
You think we are running Borego's offense?
I'll also add that Charlotte and their new coach this year is shooting 46 3's a game so far, good for 2nd in the league.
So top 10 team for 2 years with Borego, big dip down for 2 years without Borego, new coach this year and they are top 2. Who the coach is matters.

Their Achilles heel was always defense and the biggest reason why they aren't more successful. Their offense was good and generally praised.
