The song they chose for the trailer is actually a slowed down version of “The End is the Beginning is the End”, which is a song they wrote for the Batman and Robin soundtrack. This wasn’t by accident, imo. The themes of both movies center around betrayal and manipulation, along with bad puns.

Wrong?
About what, exactly?
Seems pretty accurate to the story it was telling, and the movie it was promoting.

I both really enjoy the movie and recognize that the key areas they did change in the plot, completely untether and undermine the actual point of the source material
But it’s stylized so well that it’s still a really fun movie to watch.

One of my favorite novels of all time and even though the ending was a disappointment, I still love the movie. Still in my top 5 super hero movies. They did so many other things so well and true to the book I can overlook the ending.
The ending was more of just a cop out/play it safe than anything and Snyder not taking a risk of non book readers going "wtf is this crap?"

About what...?
It came out in 2009.
Did everything we know change? I mean, it's a movie trailer.
"Most celebrated graphic novel of all time" is more subjective than objective, but if it isn't then it's definitely ONE of them.
Does Rorschach end up saving the world? Not really, so he keeps his word on that.
Was the director "Visionary"? That's up to interpretation.

No clue what the OP is asking about, but either way I love his movie. Will have to rewatch it again.

Still one of the best trailers I've ever seen.

I remember jamming the shite out of that song when it came out

I was disappointed in the ending after reading the novel but in retrospect, I think it was the right call for the reason you mentioned.

Watch the director cut once a year.
