PSA Christmas deals - 300 BO

I admittedly do not know a ton about the AR platform but have been wanting to get a 300 to surpress for use around my property. I will never shoot anything over 100 yards for sure, coyotes, coons, maybe a doe or 2.
Are any of the cheaper ones on the Christmas sales worth a damn for this purpose?
I was looking at this one.

You might want to consider a longer barrel

Accidentally copied the wrong link. I was looking at the 10.5 barrel

That handguard may make mounting a suppressor difficult.

I have 2 PSA AR-15s chambered in 5.56/.223. One is a 16" and the other is 20". Both have run flawlessly!
I have no experience with the 300 BO platform. I've heard good things, though.
My next rifle with be a .308 tactical rifle. I might go with PSA again. I spend tons of money on my handguns. It's great to have a company like PSA that makes great rifles for an affordable price!

If you are wanting to use it as a rifle, get a 16” rifle upper.

If you have a mil spec AR already, you could also just get an upper and have it shipped to your door. I may catch holy hell for admitting it, but I have a couple or bear creeks and have had zero problem with them. They have a couple of 16” w/BCG for $209-229. That would be a very inexpensive option.

I have a Bear Creek Arsenal 300 upper and it has been great. And I'll admit, I like the side charging.

I have two now.
Both in 7.62x39.
Never a problem. They shoot fine and kill pigs.

I bought an extra one and keep in the stock of the gun.
I also use Teflon in the grooves before I screw it in.

I have nothing on the AR platform so this would be my first.

Everyone needs an AR or five. Instead of just ordering one, you might want to go to a good, reputable local dealer and talk to them and see what they have and see what you like.

The .300 BO was designed to be shot from a 9” barrel, so 10.5” is great.

Meh. 10.5" with pinned suppressor would do just fine rocking subs.

Would suppressing it impact that too much? My end goal here is to be able to pop nuisance animals from my porch without waking the kids up. We have about 50 chickens and some ducks so it's a constant battle. Not worried about neighbors really, but I want enough knock down to kill a deer or smaller from 100 yards and in. 100 is probably over estimating, most would be 75 yards and in.

Shooting subs through a 10.5 is going to work just fine. It’s not going to be Hollywood quiet. The bolt carrier moving back and forth is going to make noise. It will be very quiet though. I have shot mine in my backyard in the middle of town. Sounds almost like a pellet gun, If you really want to get quiet buy a JPcaptured spring.
Btw one of by 300’s is base PSA gun. I have never had any issues. The lower and uppers are well made and aftermarket parts fit like a glove. It should meet your needs and be a fine gun.

Spend the extra dough and get a Q Honey Badger with a Q Trash Panda Suppressor.

The shorter the barrel, the quieter it is…but if you want real quiet, go with a bolt action/crack barrel .300.
If you want to take out nuisance animals, then a 22LR with subsonics is the ticket.

Forget 300bo and their expensive bullets, ck out the ks47 in 762x39. I've got two. They shoot great very accurate.

In a thread on a $549 gun you suggest a $2999 gun?
