It was better for her to fall and not end up in Washington, who had half the first 6 picks, with a way more crowded frontcourt.

Congrats Aneesah, perfect #7 pick for her. Draft people projected her #5 to #7 all year. Connecticut wanted her and was public about getting her. That is very good team for her. They are a successful, playoff caliber team. Aneesah not good fit #5 Golden State, a new start-up team with majority international players. Not good fit #6 Mystics, a losing team and rebuilding. Aneesah is the workhorse of the draft. She is the steal of the draft.

Lyndon Johnson said there are show horses and workhorses. Show horses look good but when you need your field plowed, they are nowhere to be found. These first six picks are show horses.
