I hope you were expecting a new body horror from Neon and not a romcom. Starring the Franco that didn’t get metoo’d and Alison Brie. Premiered at Sundance to rave reviews. The director’s debut and he also wrote it. Releases July 30.

Honestly two great performers that don't get enough credit.

Seeing Brie was a stark reminder of how long ago Community first came on (2009).

Them being married means I can see them having chemistry AND being familiar with the idea of a marriage "going through the motions."

She also lost weight. You could see it by after six season (and a movie) of Community.

She was great in GLOW.

She is also REALLY good at dumbing down her looks and looking pretty unattractive. They did this with her in GLOW as well. She is absolute smoke, but sometimes she looks so meh in her roles. It's nuts.

Man, it looks good but the body horror stuff is so hard to watch. I could do without seeing the last 3rd of The Substance, and it seems this movie may go that route too. Hopefully it isn't as gross.

This opens Wednesday. 98% on RT so it should be another solid entry in 2025’s impressive Horror catalogue.

arse in seat for this Thursday. I normally catch a movie a week but haven’t been since F1 a month ago because nothing has interested me. Excited for this one

It’s streaming on Hulu now.

I thought it was a pretty entertaining body horror flick, plus you get to see Alison Brie topless

One of the more disturbing movies I have seen in a very long time. Especially that ending

Just watched this. It’s weird as frick, but also kinda funny in a way and fairly entertaining. I normally don’t like Dave Franco, but he was decent in this. And Brie was solid too (though I usually like her).

But this one was weird and I kinda liked the little twist of it.

The final scene with the parents, you could see where it was heading. And it was more funny than “holy shite” for me.

It wasn’t overly good. But all in all, I kinda enjoyed it.

Just fricking barely, and it’s almost not worth it for that scene.

But at least it wasn’t as weird/dumb as The Substance.
