Had this last year. I can't remember the last time my throat hurt so much from swallowing. The fever, chills, and muscle aches went away after the first day or so but the sore throat stuck around for about a week. It sucked.

Must have been the variant I had back in Feb. I tested positive for the first time and had one of the worst sore throats I can remember having in my 56 years. Freakin miserable for two weeks.
