Remember what Milroe, Reed, and Sellers did to us last year. Obviously, Milroe is gone, but we play the other two.

Well Harold Perkins is back, and Major Burns and Sage Ryan won’t be on the field

Reed and Sellers are going to have a hard time duplicating what they did against LSU last year. I do believe LSU's defense got better and we get those 2 teams at home this year...

You have to take a wait and see approach (even Baker's best defenses at Missouri had some trouble with running QBs at times), but the new safety personnel gives some reason for optimism. The last two seasons at the safety position have been awful. Those are the guys you need to limit a run to 5-7 yards, not allow what should be a 5-7 yard run to turn into a 40 yard run.

I’m telling yall, the game in Norman at night is gonna be a dogfight. Mateer is a dude and OU is the hot team right now for the playoffs. Pate, Phil Steele and Feldman have them in the playoffs

Perk, Weeks, Pyburn... Interested to see the safety play but with Stamps, Delane, and Pickett as viable corner options I feel better about the defense than I have in several years.
OL determines how good you can be this year. Defense may not be elite status, but it's good enough to get you to the playoffs if we have a formidable OL
