In 22 seasons of play since the original franchise relocated from Charlotte, the New Orleans franchise has achieved an overall regular season record of 831–937 (. 470) and qualified for the playoffs nine times. Their achievements include two playoff series victories and one division title.

So all you that keep bitchin about Dumars need to STFU. It's not like this franchise has ever been championship caliber for the last 22 seasons.

that's kind of the point of the frustration... many don't feel like he is the answer to solving this problem...

personally, i'm willing to give him at least a chance to prove us wrong... but I will, with the quickness, criticize this FO when it's warranted... yes, the trade sucked, but I think it's too early to really judge it.... one, we don't know how good Queen is/can be, two, we don't know where that pick will end up anyway.... it's speculated to be a top 5... it could be, it could not be... we'll see

Our roster is too talented to land top 5 honestly. Every team would love a Herb/Murphy on their team and some would risk to grab Zion also. Our team isn’t bad or made of g-leaguers.

Talent isn’t the problem with the Pelicans. It’s terrible Health and Training facilities. We haven’t been healthy since Boogie tore his Achilles.

I agree.... if we stay healthy, and that's a big if, I get it, but if we are healthy, no way we aren't at least in the play in....

no, and we add some solid depth, with the addition of Bey and Looney... those guys don't frick around either, so the value of them in the locker room, and how they can possibly help Zion to mature and grow into his role is invaluable...

look, the whole thing could go really wrong.... but maybe, just maybe, it could go really right.... I just think it's way too early to be putting nails in coffins right now... unlike the Saints, who are absolutely fricked 7 ways from Sunday, and this season is going to be an absolute shitshow....

I've seen several posters repeating this and id love to know where yall got this idea that we have a talented roster? Its essentially the same roster as last year, minus BI and CJ(our second and third best players), plus a few rookies, Jordan Poole, and minimum level role players.

We are the least talented roster in our division. The West overall is stacked. We have arguably the worst head coach and front office in the league. We have practically no shooters around Zion minus Trey and Hawk(who may not even be on the roster by training camp). The ceiling for this team, with good health, is the play-in.

Where is all this talent you speak of?

It’s really not, especially when you factor in that the main pieces of our team barely played last year.

Bi played 18 total games for example. Herb 20. Zion 30.

Y’all have got to stop comparing anything to last season.

Well Poole just had his best season in the NBA so not sure why he’s getting glossed over like he’s a scrub. Dude averaged 21 pts a game with 38% from 3.

Looney and Bey are both very good depth pieces. You’d assume at least a little growth from Missi.

It’s just absurd to proclaim the play-in as the absolute ceiling.
