They have both Yugo and Chinese versions in stock. Looks like the Yugos are full refurbs.

quote:every yugo i've seen, and certainly the two i own, are not "refurbs" but test-fired and stored surplus stock. AKA...brand new. classic firearms was selling them by the crate not all that long ago.

the norinco's though are likely heavily used. mine even has trench art carved into the stock

How much are we talking here?

decent price
I paid half that for each or mine but that was when they were plentiful. The yugos are fine rifles and surplus ammo is still gettable, just be mindful that the barrels are not chrome lined so if you shoot berdan primed ammo clean it with windex after every use
the stocks are very nice and you get the NATO grenade launcher for when the zombies come

THanks for the input. I want something new to play with. I really want a 9mm lever rifle but I cannot find one that isn't one of those $2000 retarded looking gun snob versions.
I can't believe that Rossi or Gforce or someone like that doesn't build one. I don't think you could build them fast enough if you had a good one.
357 and .44 ammo is too damn expensive to do a lot of shooting with one. That and I just don't want another caliber to have to keep up with.

quote:I think the issue with 9mm and lever guns, is that you can't safely load normal fmj into a tube magazine. Too much risk of the bullet setting off the primer of the round in front of it, you'd get a catastrophic chain fire. That eliminates most traditional designs.

Which is why the AR9's are gaining popularity. People want some format of handy rifle/carbine that uses 9mm, gives you a cheap plinker a step up from 22lr.

Why wouldn't this apply to the .38/.357 etc. leverguns? I've never seen pointed 9mm rounds?

Henry has a carbine 9mm that looks pretty tempting.
