Are we just a hat on the table for Duece?

Did LSU choose to prioritize Lamar Brown instead?

Bo Davis didn’t recruit him that hard but Kyle Williams has been all over him. He’s def help make up ground in his recruitment

We are in on him for sure. We will see what happens. Seems like Lamar is going with the good guys, so NIL funds might be short for geralds considering some of the big time recruits we have committed currently. Time will tell.

He has gone on record saying LSU is his “dream school”. So maybe we won’t need to top the NIL scales for him.

There was some confusion about this, but it sounds like he is releasing his top teams today.

That's confirmed Pat.

Geralds’ thoughts on each finalist
LSU: “It is my hometown team and my dream school. Coach (Kyle) Williams is great, he has NFL experience with the Bills and I believe he can really coach me up. I have that connection with Frank Wilson too, because he recruited my dad.”

Michigan: “They develop defensive linemen there. Coach Espo (Lou Esposito) is a great coach, he feels I am a plug-and-play guy there and I have a great connection with coach (Sherrone) Moore. Life after football is great there too with their alumni program.”

Ohio State: “Larry Johnson is legendary. … He is the GOAT and you can’t find that anywhere else. Coach Johnson is the best and the program is up there right now, so it would be great to join that program that just won a national championship.”

Ole Miss: “I have connections there and I am very familiar with the program and the coaches. Coach (Pete) Golding and coach Joyner are a great combo at Ole Miss. They work well together and they could really develop me and show my versatility in their scheme.”

Oregon: “The whole staff and I are connected at Oregon. They make it feel like family up there. They showed me how connected everyone is on campus. I like my connection with coach Lanning, too. He is a younger head coach, he is hungry and the trajectory of the Oregon program is up.”

His commitment date is august 2nd. So plenty of time to land Lamar today, then turn our sights onto Geralds possibly.
I’m not an insider btw lol

I just hope we keep keys. All the insiders are saying it would take a lot to get him away from LSU, but we shall see.

If I had to make a guess based solely on those statements I would say Ohio St. That being said, words don't mean much these days so it all depends on what happens behind the scenes and in the run up to commitment followed by the waiting game until signing day.

I have seen that he might not be as high on their board.

Good news as I'll have time for my 500 million portfolio to build up after donating to Lamar

I don't understand why he would leave though. He's close to home. He is likely a starter or gets significant snaps as a true freshman along with a likely million dollar a year contract. LSU has the two highest paid WRs in the NFL and the top two rookie WRs from last year. Barring injury, in 3 years LSU will likely have 4 of the top 8 richest WRs in the league. Im sorry, but i question a kid's brain who commits to LSU as a top WR, and then leaves before even playing one year. This is where parents hit you upside the head and tell you, no the hell you aint leaving LSU.

Yea, OSU took 3 DTs last month, and had I believe every opportunity to make Geralds one of them.

Seems like OSU coaches aren't sure where he fits in the scheme. Is he too small to be a DT and too big to be a DE?

OSU seemingly "passed" on a kid who is in the top 100 and says they got their guys, who are all lower ranked. Will see how this plays out over the next 3-5 years and whether that is a good decision or not (I hate it because he has done well at every camp he has gone too and OSU had likely the longest relationship with him as well)
