Current LSU players not in portal but not announced as returning.

Unfortunately, it seems we can’t count on returning players until an announcement comes out. I’m going off memory, so this may not be 100% accurate.

Even the NFL's not this bad. They at least have contracts to keep players in place for a few years before free agency.

Not trying to flame, but do we think everyone of them would need make an announcement? Or just return like it used to be?

Thats because the NCAA won’t do what they should have done years ago and make the players employees. They are getting paid for doing a job now which is the pure definition of an employee. Collect bargaining could take place to get rules and regulations established to cut out all of this nonsense.

Absolutely, the portal is way worse than free agency in the NFL because of no binding contracts.

I really, really hope Taron Francis is back. His mom works at Ochsner and I talked to her for about 2 minutes back in August. She said he wanted to transfer if he didn't play, but she told him he "needs to see it through and stick to his commitment."
He went an entire season and didn't play, so who knows what he'll do.
