Both. They had raw traits, but just never developed for whatever reason.

Yes and all programs need depth…

Those schools bought the hype, high school stars, and the hope of their potential with a different O-Line coach. They certainly didn’t pick them up based on their on-field performance last year

A mobile QB can cover up weaknesses in an OL
Not counting Bama either because they ran the ball just as poorly as we did.
And not counting Kentucky because they’re just on a hype train with their new HC right now.

As was CBK and Sloan

Our OL anchored by Will Campbell struggled running the ball. What's that tell you about Davis?

I believe he was. I also believe Sloan’s zone scheme he wanted was too much for young players.

Recruiting, no.
Actually doing the job of being a coach, yes.

Curne and Zion are the two I will keep up with the most.

He was that bad at developing, as was our S&C coach.
As for the players, most of them were rated high on 247, On3, and all the other sites

All I know is we couldn't run the ball in 2024 either and we had 4 NFL dudes on that line. Some of it could have been Sloan too.

Great recruiter, terrible coach.

Davis was that bad.
Sloan was that bad.
Kelly was that bad.
All these guys have talent, but they had a clusterfrick of a coaching staff leading to poo-poo execution.

Don't forget Sloan and BK. It took a group effort to suck that bad.

This!!! Our strength and conditioning staff has been very underwhelming. Hopefully the new staff is better
