Big fan of the Mary Bs frozen

Always heard people talk about Mary B’s
Bought some for Christmas morning, they never got any bigger, barely got brown & we’re hard & dry
Luckily I had a box of Jiffy biscuit mix so we could have breakfast before opening presents

I used Great Value Frozen biscuits for dressing this year, and they were pretty awesome fresh out of the oven. I've used Mary B's in the past, but they don't always rise as well. It's fine for dressing, but not so good for breakfast.

I used to always get the canned Grands, but recently switch to the frozen Grands. They taste more homemade and have a nice flake / crisp on the outside.

The frozen in a bag Pillsbury southern style. That's the closest I've ever tasted to a homemade biscuit.

Yep, they are the best you can find. Mary B's years ago were good but something happened to them 10 or so years ago and they don't taste the same.

I still like their little tea biscuits in the tin.

On the Mary B's, don't set the oven to what the bag says. I drop the temp by about 25 degrees, so they take a little longer to cook, but they always rise. I think the bag says 375-400, and I set the oven to 350. I also put them in the oven as I turn it on and don't wait for it to preheat, since they're frozen.

Walmart store brand frozen biscuits are similar to Mary B's but better. They're excellent biscuits.

Yes, amazingly good. And at $4.92 for a bag of 20 they're a great buy.

I think you can get an old batch sometimes. Most of the bags you buy rise and brown up nicely, and others that act like the ones you had.

Schwan's had the best, IMHO, but they shut down operations in 2024, I think...

Any of the frozen biscuits need to be defrosted first before they will rise and become fluffy.

Kroger has a very good biscuit 4-pack (although I never patronize their woksge anymore).
Publix also sells a good biscuit.
