What's McMahon's buyout? I am ready to take out my checkbook after this crap tonight. If the buyout cost is equivalent to what he is putting out there on the court, he will owe me money.

It’s worth paying. Think it’s in the 4-6 range.

$6.1 million after this season according to Google. So a bit more than that since we'd have to pay for the rest of this season.

His team looks to be as lost as he is coaching BB. Worst hire for BB I can remember.

Yeah but that is payable in monthly installments and offset by any basketball income (including media).

FWIW. It is $5MM to buy Wade out of his contract at NCST until 4/1/2026, then it drops to $3MM.

And I thought we couldn't possibly do any worse than Johnny.

At least he made the tournament. And bought good players, which is A MUST if you want to compete.

McMahon’s approach is “we’re gonna execute half court offense” that’s it, that’s the extent of his approach. Nothing on D, no adjustments or throwing different looks out there, no physicality, no transition game, no attacking the glass. We run 2-3 plays in offense and that’s how he expects to win in the SEC. It’s not possible

Shhhht, we were ready to pay a college QB $5M….. I’d say, at this point, money is the least of our concerns. #1 problem: timing and how it looks to other coaches, #2 problem: who — seriously —- would come to LSU that has a NCAA TOURNAMENT winning record

If any mega donor and/or Verge read this board please consider how a solid hire will bring in a revenue boost that will more than make up for the buyout cost.

That is an insult to Jones. He never had a sub .500 SEC season until his final year when everyone knew it was just a time wasting season. And that includes a season with a tuba player starting at Center along side a 6’4 power forward.

Johnny wasn’t great. But at least he was generally competitive. This is Trent Johnson 2.0…only without a ready made roster in year 1.

I guess Trent WAS worse than Johnny. Hell, if Johnny could recruit, and Trent coach the team, we might have been good.

Other than O'bryant, I don't think Trent signed any blue chippers. He did do a good job with what Brady left him.

I think he was pulling a George Costanza last season and trying to get fired so he could get the LSU buyout money AND return to Murray State (who was looking for a new HC). Woodward screwed him by refusing to fire him.
