Paying them both 6 mill…
What is going on?
I assume Leavitt will wait on a decision and visit Miami also.

There’s zero chance of that happening. And you as a fan should probably be mad if it did somehow happen.

Why would I be mad about getting 2 qbs into a room with 0 currently?

I wouldn't be mad but it's zero chance at happening. If by some bizarre reason a booster paid up I don't honestly care especially because that means they came to an agreement 1 would sit and be the QB next year. Not likely though because Demond is the younger prospect so LSU could have him possibly 2 years.

Leavitt scares me a bit for 2 reasons. 1) his injury and recovery seems to be iffy to say the least 2) these guys who play this process to the hilt don't exactly seem like team players to me
If I had choiceS, my 2 would be Williams from Washington and Landon Clark from Elon. But from what I've seen of the Elon QB, he is a major college caliber starter so not sure he would be willing to be backup for a year.

I'm not saying you should be mad about getting 2 QB's. We'll be getting more than 2 QB's. But those two quarterbacks specifically would cost $10+ million and only one of them can play. So we would have $5 million sitting on the bench. I personally think with the amount of players that we currently need, using that money elsewhere would make LSU much more competitive next season.

Good luck convincing one of those guys to come sit the bench for a year.

If we actually even could convince both to sign, the way I would guess on the structure of it is paying Demond as the starter and giving Leavitt a 2 year deal where most of it is in the second year where he would become the starter and the first year is a nice little chunk while he heals up

Not my money. Don’t care. Not my job on the line. Don’t care.
