This would cause the Grove to implode.

If we did this I’d be concerned for the safety of everyone on campus

Don’t know what happened with that roster this year but they have no talent at OM.

I’d just be shocked if Ole Miss even makes the NCAAT

Are you under the impression that Ole Miss is expected to make the tournament this season?

seriously. Mississippi air national guard bombing Baton Rouge is not good for recruiting.

Ole Miss is not good this year and Beard seems pretty fed up with his roster. I don't know if that is a warning sign for the future, or an aberration relative to the significant success he's had throughout his career. He had a Final Four caliber Team in his second season at Texas before he was abruptly fired. He immediately turned OM from a dumpster fire to competitive in his 1st season there. Last year they were 4 points away from the Elite 8.

I have never thought Beard would be long for Ole Miss. He took that job out of necessity...not a strong desire to be in Oxford. I really didn't think he'd be there 3 years. Perhaps that, and the poor performance thus far this season would require a deeper analysis to see if he can "fit" in this NIL/Transfer era of basketball. But if so, perhaps the struggles and unhappiness this season could open a door for a trip south to BR. None of the big Texas jobs are likely to be available at the end of the season.

I'm not saying it happens or that he would necessarily be the first/only choice. But you never know. However, if it did happen Ole Miss might send a legion of Harvey Updyke's to BR to burn down all of the stately oaks

I could see that if you were hiring him to be your wife's bull.

But as a basketball coach he's got a pretty good resume.

Mmmmkay. Not where I thought this was going but go ahead.

I agree. But I'd rather not have someone who chokes women to be in charge of young men that represent the program I'm a fan of.

And before I get ripped to shreds, this is not in support of McMahon. Last night was inexcusable and unjustifiable.

It doesn't take that long to turn a Basketball program around, even from scratch.

Michigan won the National Championship with FIVE true freshmen in the starting lineup.

Golden just won a NC at Florida last season in Year 3.

It's not Rocket Science and doesn't take long if the HC is competent and can manage well.

The Fab 5 from Michigan did not win the championship. They made it to the national championship game but did not win it

I'd rather the guy that just wins basketball games.

I'm an alum of LSU, but LSU's basketball program doesn't "represent" me. It's merely an entertainment source. I could say I don't want a convicted felon representing the program I'm a fan off. But I don't really get that bent out of shape that there is a statue of such person prominently featured outside the football stadium.

Winning is really ALL that matters. It's just whether or not one is willing to accept that reality. St Francis of Assisi could be the football coach. But he's getting fired if he doesn't win. Conversely, Lane Kiffin could diddle every married woman in BR but still get a statue as long as he wins championships.

Yea I get all that, and I never said LSU represents you, I, or anybody else that likes LSU basketball. I said the players that "represent" the program. Counterfeiting and choking you're fiance aren't equivalent. Besides the point anyway.

But there's a line to be drawn somewhere, no?

Be a lying, dirty, sleezebag for all I care it doesn't matter, but choking your fiance is a little much for me.
