Why would you brush off Leavitt

To hopefully get in a bidding war with another team like Miami over a QB. This situation is wild to me and seems we almost had Leavitt locked up, so either his injury is worse than we think or Lane is 100% certain we are getting Williams. Hopefully it works out for us, Moscona explained it in a short I didn't realize he went to Arizona (which we all know is his home state) and left with the coach to go to Washington. So essentially in Washington's eyes it was ok to steal a player/ers and a coach but when it happens to you you're all butthurt and acting like a child, changed the way I looked at this whole thing. I say get Williams at all costs now just to piss everyone off more.

I don’t think we brushed him off. I think Leavitt didn’t want to sign, is still shopping around.

I'm thinking Injury uncertainty coupled with multiple options. If we can get Williams ASAP then he's the better option.

Leavitt looked so disinterested at the basketball game and just sat there on his phone.
My guess is Lane got a bad read on the kid and said okay, we need to relook at this Demond situation and see if it’s actually possible.

Reading between the lines, it appears Lane is just very high on Demond as compared to Leavitt or anyone else in the portal.

What makes you think we almost had him locked up? I think he was stalling for either Oregon or Miami personally.

I think LSU wanted him for a certain value and he wanted more. Kiffin got nervous about his injury that could keep him out up to 12 months and decided to move on

I think they told him he needs to shite or get off the pot and he got off the pot.

You been dancing with a pretty girl all night things seem to be going well. You try to get her to leave with you but she doesn’t say no just keep being vague. Now it’s almost last call and she’s talking to some other guy at the bar. You don’t take back your offer necessarily but you def should be exploring other options.

So pure speculation and chatter from people on here. That does not mean we almost had him locked up. Remember when Sorsby was a lock and Chaz Coleman wasn't going on any other visits? Remember when Demond showed up at our facility?

Maybe he didn’t want to sign or LSU didn’t want to sign him. Not every date goes great. Going to have some winners and losers.

I think Kiffin likes the Demond Williams type of QBs. Watch Williams film. He's a runner and accurate passer, that is healthy. I think Kiffin backed off Leavitt for Williams.
