Was simply the coincidence that they were side by side with Notre dame and they couldn’t ignore head to head. If Notre dame was horrible and not even in the top 25 Miami wouldn’t have gotten it which makes no sense because the win would be weaker. No longer do bad losses matter or making conference titles it’s simply don’t lose more than 2 and hope the surrounding teams favor you. Big advantage that the only team who thought they were toast got the second life and credit to them for taking full advantage. Vandy
Lost at Alabama and at Texas not and home to UL and smu. 2 poor teams. And now
Miami will play at home for the national championship like lsu playing in Death Valley for the title. What a joke! Thank god for the national football league

If Indiana beats Oregon, it wouldn’t surprise me if Indiana has more fans at Hard Rock than Miami

Huh? Wouldn’t that make more sense because Miami’s SOS would be even weaker?

I mean LSU has played in the Superdome four times for it… they’ve never made it in any other venue

To recap for OP

Playoffs

Acc 3-0, 2-0 v SEC
Sec 3-4
Big 10 3-1
Big 12 0-1
Aac 0-1
Sun belt 0-1

5th place ACC team Miami in natty

7 ACC teams win 9+ games, and none of them are named Clemson, FSU or Va. Tech.

9 bowl wins so far (2-11 last year).

8-6 vs SEC.

Regarding Louisville - they were a top 12 team when Miami lost to them when they still had their best player and the best running back in the country. The RB was a stud and Louisville would have e finished ranked if he stayed healthy all year.

SMU has won 30 games in last 3 seasons and isn’t some bad team.

Maybe the ACC wasn’t as bad of a conference after all this year and maybe the SEC simply wasn’t as good ad ESPN told everyone.

With the exception of the playoffs, i dont think bowl wins hold as much weight as they used to due to the opt outs of most of your best players.

SMU and Louisville aren't that bad of teams. Sure you would think a potential national champion would win these games but is it any worse than 2016 Clemson losing to an 8-5 Pitt team, or 2014 Ohio St losing to 7-6 VT, or 2024 Ohio St losing to 8-5 Michigan?

It's not like they lost to some dogshit 3-9 teams or anything. And both those games came down to the final plays

Outside of hating Miami for whatever reason, how can anyone be upset they got in.
All their games have been awesome to watch.

This website often reminds me that some people are just on a different wavelength....or should I say spectrum?

You would be wrong. This is a different era and today’s kid wants publicity so Miami will turn out.
