Because he hasn’t been extremely good at Nebraska and seems like a bit of a drama queen.

Asking because Nebraska is not a QB pipeline to NFL , so QB developers they’re not.

Because he’s cosplaying as Patrick Mahomes and isn’t to be taken seriously. Also he’s been pretty average/meh as far as QBs go.

Just quoting so people see the reason I'd personally not want him. It's also one of several hundred reasons why I don't get paid millions to coach LSU, but as a fan, I don't like the real kermit in KC and it's just weird the things he does to copy him. If he's not done copying Mahomes, I'm sure he'll have a super annoying girlfriend and little brother soon

He has been at least a serviceable QB but not great. Also, he is another guy who had a serious injury...broke a leg I believe. Just like Sam Leavitt if I was a head coach, I would check into the medical history of guys who didn't come close to playing a full season the year before.

His dad was an All-American at Nebraska.
Like another poster said, he wasn't playing too bad this season before the injury. Nebraska had a pretty bad OL in front of him though.
I've read he's asking for too much money now. He signed that sponsorship deal with adidas before last season, so I don't know if that's playing a factor into where he signs, or there's a buyout if a non-adidas school wants him.

The OL was coached by his uncle..... and a big reason hes leaving is because his uncle was finally fired.
