I was good friends with a guy from Australia in undergrad, and he would tell me that locals getting drunk and “boxing” kangaroos was an actual problem where he was from.

That reaction is funny. Reminds me of the dude who calls the coyote over in the parking lot and it bites his had. At the end he says "goddamn coyotes"
