I have a question about the ICE shooting

Let me preface this by saying I'm a 110% supporter of ICE and mass deportations.
Does anyone know why ICE was in what looks like a neighborhood? Didn't look like a "sweep" like a Home Depot or a construction site. Was it a targeted operation aimed at an individual?

Thought I saw a list of those they arrested on that raid - a handful of known criminal illegals. If that was true they likely went to their last known residence

I want them in neighborhoods. I want them targeting known criminals with orders of deportation. I don’t want them doing sweeps at construction sites.

I don’t think they’re blindly sweeping, they’re going after illegals who have deportation orders signed off by a judge. Some of those warrants have been outstanding for years. No executive prior to Trump would execute the orders.

I reached the 111% threshold of support and have yet to question any of their tactics or locations for retrieval.

Yup, they weren't randomly checking, everyone on on that list had some sort of court order.
Real question was why were so many people with a court order living in that neighborhood.

I only ask because I have some liberal acquaintances asking why was ICE in that area. Just looking for info to answer. Was hoping ICE has said something like we were there to arrest a convicted murderer.

I think it was reported they were headed back to headquarters and stopped to help a car stuck in snow and the protestors descended upon them.

I don't know where people are getting their information. Here's exactly what the best-informed person, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, wants us to know:
“It was an act of domestic terrorism. What happened was our ICE officers were out in enforcement action. They got stuck in the snow because of the adverse weather that is in Minneapolis. They were attempting to push out their vehicle and a woman attacked them and those surrounding them and attempted to run them over and ram them with her vehicle.”
Duh. The video clearly shows them "attempting to push out their vehicle" when Good attacked them.
