no 1953? that is arguable, however

that girl prolly has zero clue on cold war actions that happened all over the world. that was one of them. the soviets were in iran long after WW2. there was a tudeh communist party there. there was fear of them taking out mossadegh as president. iran had commie neighbors. doubt she knows what truman told stalin about iran. The shah was light years better than these islamic mullahs.

The people were protesting in solidarity with protesters in Iran trying to overthrow the Mullahs. They are likely in support of bringing back the Shah. The driver of the vehicle is anti-Shah. The Shah was put in power by an English led coup in 1953 because the elected Prime Minister of Iran was a socialist who planned on nationalizing Iran’s oil industry. BP really didn’t like that.

The socially conservative Mullahs took power in the Revolution against the Shah by aligning with the socially libertine Communists and then betraying them immediately. The truck driver is likely a member of this communist faction of Iranians.

“No shah. No regime. US don’t repeat 1953. No Mullah”.

That’s the English if you slow it down. My Farsi is a little rough.
