Lindsey probably needed to get out of LA and LSU probably did not try at all to keep him.
It may not be as much that Frank got him as that LSU told him there was not a spot.

Lindsey was gone no matter what. The kid got in trouble and needs a change of scenery. He'd also be RB3 at best, likely RB4.

It was reported the staff had talks with Lindsey, although I can't remember if they offered to take him back or not.
I agree that it's probably best for Lindsey to get out of state. I hate it for him he's going to be coached by Wilson. Maybe this whole thing will light a fire under Frank's arse, but he hasn't developed anyone in years it seems like. We see RBs come in and have had decent freshman seasons and then regress under him. I'm not even going to touch on his terrible rotations.

When Nick was going to hire Frank on staff at LSU he said he couldn’t because he didn’t know enough about football. Maybe he has learned a lot since then.

Zero chance he would’ve been allowed back at LSU.
Dude allowed armed murderers and fugitives to live in his dorm, next to regular students. Could’ve ended disastrously.

I look at Lindsey and I see Nate Shepard. Frank thought he was too small and didn’t like him so he never considered us and vice versa. Would you like to trade Lindsey for Shepard now???
