if he wants to be a part of the team for spring practice, he needs to enroll by Jan 22...

Is that accurate?
Daniels didn't transfer to LSU until (at least) February. He entered the portal on Feb 18th. LSU announced his transfer on March 6, 2022. He participated in spring practice in March/April
Obviously there is no spring portal anymore. But I doubt LSU's enrollment calendar has changed very much since 2022. Is there a NCAA rule that a player has to be enrolled by 1/22? If nothing else, it seems like that would create conflict for potential Indiana and Miami transfers who won't end their seasons until 1/19

There is no spring window this year. This is the only portal

I just know that January 22 is the last day for a regular student to schedule classes at LSU. I am just going by the academic calendar.

Did you ban any of the guys making "I can be the QB" threads? Should be a month minimum

I know. But that doesn't have any effect on LSU's enrollment calendar.
I presume Chicken is going by LSU's 25-26 academic year calendar which lists 1/22 as the final date for adding courses for credit. But that date in 2022 was 1/27. Daniels didn't enroll at LSU until well after that date. Or did he actually enroll in LSU for the Spring semester at all? If not, it seems odd he would be able to participate in team activities while not being an enrolled student

Is 2/4 the latest? I know that’s signing day

Shea said LSU expects him to sign today

The rules must’ve changed because it’s a hard 1/22 on campus enrolled or no spring ball. That may be an LSU rule or NCAA rule where dates could slightly differ based on last to add classes, be enrolled etc.

I would think he doesn't start getting paid until he signs .

LSU has shortened “accelerated sessions” which is what Jayden did so he could participate in spring ball.

Daniels is slated to arrive in Baton Rouge on March 14th, while the rest of the students are on spring break. That will give him a chance to enroll in what LSU calls an “accelerated session.”
Classes for the second spring “accelerated session” will begin on March 21st and final exams are held on May 7th and 9th. To participate in spring ball, a student must be enrolled in classes.
