The last time the Steelers won a playoff game it was over an A.J. McCarron quarterbacked Bengals.

3 playoff wins since 2010... 15 years and 3 playoff wins. Two of those three playoff wins came against teams starting backup QBs. Matt Moore and A.J. McCarron. The Begals would have won that game too if Vontaze Burfict didn't go crazy and take Antonio Brown's head off.

I don't care whether he gets fired or not, it could be justified, but the roster was not that good this year.

42 year old QB with a mediocre receiving group, the O-line can't run block and an undrafted cast-off at LT.

Add that to a down year from TJ and a defense that wasn't as good as its price and Tomlin probably didn't do a bad job this year.

I'll defend him. Think Tomlin is a great coach. He's been dealt a crap roster and QB situation for years yet still has a winning record every year and makes the playoffs.

Guy is a great coach but he needs to move on. He needs a reset and a new environment.

The GM hasn’t given him a good qb. It’s amazing what he’s accomplished with crap qb play.

I've been hearing about the roster issues and what a good job Tomlin did with what he had for 15 years worth of letdowns. He has input and final say on his roster. He has the most expensive defense in the NFL and they signed key guys because he wanted them. Every team has roster deficiencies, it how the league works.

It's time for a fresh start for both him and the franchise.

Thing is, he's too classy to be vocal about it. Basically takes all the blame and covers for his players when he could, rightfully, throw a lot of people under the bus.

I'm not sure what he's supposed to do when they've had such mediocre QB play for so long.

They need to do a tank season to draft a QB but it seems like ownership isn't interested in that path forward.

I remember watching that game in a bar. I think that sequence involved two 15 yard penalties that were both enforced on the same play, so a free 30 yards from the officials, at the end of a playoff game no less, to put the Steelers in FG range.

Never seen anything like that before or since.

He had a hall of fame QB in his prime until his decline in 2018. From 2010 on he won 3 playoff games with him.

He would have to retire for that scenario to happen.

Now do playoff win percentage. It isn't pretty.
