Retained Green, Durham, Berry. Dropped the worst OL ever. Reloaded the WR room.
Retained Baker, got a strength coach worth a frick. New blood at rb coach.
#1 QB transfer , solid backup. Theres nothing that could have been done better. Every box is being checked. Lane works his arse off.

Not going to lie, I was tight about the qbs.
Never said anything here except a Ruffino-style “relax.” But I was sweatin it due tk the negative press.

The man doesn’t quit. I get up at 5am most mornings and he’s already posted twice by then
Only slight criticism is the OL, but his offense will mitigate some of those weaknesses.

We aren’t done yet in the portal and there are some big boys left to grab

Fire Brian Kelly

Every single thing that has come out of the football ops building since Mike Elko’s morbidly obese arse cucked us in our house has been utterly perfect. I am truly proud to be a Tiger right now. It is a beautiful thing. LSU could have chosen irrelevance and mediocrity, but instead chose to fight for excellence because excellence is worth fighting for. That is why LSU is a special institution and the LSU Fighting Tigers are a special football team.

I think we as a fan base are going to be shocked just to have a competent OL compared to the last 4 years. We don’t need a dominant OL just competent would be a huge improvement. It has been sickening to play lower caliber schools that had better Olines. I think Southeastern had a better Oline than LSU.

The contrast between him and Kelly is unreal. What other coach would have flown to fricking Knoxville to frick w his official visit to Tennessee??? Clearly paid off!!

quote:It was so bizarre. Even on short yardage plays where the mandate was 'push the guy in front of you back as far as you can', forget schemes, reads, etc, just simple caveman football, we couldn't do that against SLU, against anyone. Can you think of a a single play last season where one of our OL just dominated the guy across from him? Like that time Emory Jones drove his guy basically in to the stands? I've never seen anything like it.

So where is BK coaching now?
Posted on 1/13/26 at 8:06 am to paulb52
It's scary that we paid BK so much money and his name wasn't brought up for any vacancies this year. He was a fraud all along.

Agreed but you will still get idiots finding something to complain about. Like stripes not matching on the uniforms or some crap like that.

Offensive line is still in shambles. I think Seaton is worth the asking price.

That's a great breakdown.
Only complaint I can even think of so far is it would be great if Lane could stop DMing my fiancé.

Trust the process. Lane knows what he is doing and is the perfect coach for the current state of college football.

He benefitted from playing ND soft schedules and winning a big game once and awhile. Name a ND head coach that has moved on from ND and had big success. Short list...

In a very perfect world:
We pay Lane the full Ole Miss CFP bonus.
Lane turns around and gives it to Seaton.

Yep, Lane knew what he needed in terms of financial support to go win in the portal and it’s showing. I know Kiffin can win with these rosters and the high profile transfers are important, but interesting to see how things shift given Indiana’s success with their roster…but very happy with our current position.
