Seems kinda like he is who he is at this point.

He will be considered a top 5 NFL coach of all time.

Yeah... he's a solid NFL coach. Wouldn't consider him one of the greats, but he's been about as consistent as you could ask.

Narrative should be that he was a consistent winner, but couldn’t get back over the hump after his first.

I think a change of scenery would do him and Pittsburgh both some good

Consistency can get stale even at a pretty high level.

A really good regular season coach who can extract a lot of productivity out of lesser-than rosters. He's also benefitted coaching for an organization who believes in giving their coaches an extra-long leash. If he coached for any other team, he would have been fired a few years ago.

One of the best coaches ever, period. That was a shite team the GM sent out there this year and he somehow coached them into a playoff appearance

It is very difficult to decouple Tomlin with some of the roster choices and offensive style they have from where a fan sits. It is clearly what’s holding them back. I agree I think it’s at the point where a fresh start with a different front office somewhere else would be helpful.

He’s a hall of famer, who cares about the narrative

His narrative will be Division Champs, 2025.

That he couldn't find a quarterback after Ben retired, which created a ceiling on how far they could go.

He's a hell of a coach. You're not in the playoffs that many times in the same Division as Baltimore unless you're a great coach. The roster hasn't been very good for a while. This is the NFL that falls on the front office more than Tomlin.

Great coach that has won a Super Bowl and a lot of football games - he's one of the best 10-15 coaches in the NFL since 2000. Probably wouldn't crack very many greatest coaches of all time lists since he really hasn't put it all together since Big Ben left.

I love Tomlin. But he rode the wave of in-his-prime Roethlisberger and hasn't been able to replicate the early success.

Should probably seek a change of scenery.

In no particular order, where would you put Tomlin among all of these?

Bill Belichick
Vince Lombardi
Don Shula
Bill Walsh
Chuck Noll
Joe Gibbs
Andy Reid
Mike Shanahan

His career is far from over. Andy Reid is viewed a whole lot differently after leaving the Eagles vs how he is now.

Or he could go the Doug Pederson route. Time will tell

So Tomlin, this hell of a coach, this awesome winner, one of the longest tenured coaches, has no say in who is on his team? No say in the draft room? No input in his staff? He just accepts whatever they give him?

bullshite.
