If tweet fails to load, click here. If the Seaton sweepstakes doesn’t end with him in an LSU jersey, I’d love to land this guy.
Posting to put him on y’all’s radar.
ETA: Was recruited by Eric Wolford when Brooks was coming out of high school while Wolford was coaching at Alabama. Wolford is now the OL coach at LSU.

Wonder if this has anything to do with Texas’s pursuit of Seaton.
Time will tell.

And the bidding war that has come about for him.

I’d be fine with UT driving up the price for Seaton and LSU getting Brooks at a more reasonable price.

Recruited by Eric Wolford as Bama OL coach out of high school in Georgia

Would Seaton start over current OTs at Texas? I can't imagine he wouldn't go somewhere and not start day 1.

Seaton is a day 1 starter at any college he chooses

Than LSU should pay whatever is needed to protect their new $4 + million QB.

This dude didn't just hop in the portal for no reason, nor would UT ever let him go without knowing they were upgrading
I'm guessing it was a lot like Heard at Tenner, they got a better LT, asked him to slide to RT and he bolted
If Texas is getting Seaton, Brooks probably didn't want to get pushed out of position

Hell just get em both. Already spending 54 million buyout money, New HC money, New staff money, #1 QB money, old staff buyout money, #1 transfer portal money, what's another 3 to 5 million?

I say get this guy for 1/4 of the price for Seaton and get two more OLs. Seaton could get hurt and that $4M or whatever he is going to command is going to get flushed. You take that chance on Leavitt because he's a QB. I don't know if you pay that price for a guy who is part of a 5-man unit.

This kids got 3 yrs left....this would be good pickup. Wolford knows this kid and his ability. I'd rather get some guys like Brooks and fill the cupboard, Instead of spend crazy money on the very top. These kids are getting NFL money for OL.
Just my uninformed opinion.

that's for people with way deeper pockets than me to figure out...

Unfortunately I dont know that the “this kid has 3 years left” means anything anymore. At the rate college football is going, these kids are changing schools almost every year.
Having 3 years left really just means they have less experience.

Seaton is a player you pay when you’re a LT away from legit chase at a natty. He’s plug and play and a Top 10 draft pick. He’s about to reset the market at LT.
