The Navy’s top surface-warfare admiral just filibustered for an HOUR in front of a room packed with the Navy’s best ship officers.
And never said Trump-Class Battleships once.
Trump ordered them to get ready
@SecWar ordered them to be lethal
@SECNAV ordered them built asap.
The admirals are pretending these civilian orders never existed.
That’s not oversight.
This is a sin of omission.
This is mutiny in slow motion!!
Forget Mark Kelly, we have insubordination at the highest ACTIVE DUTY ranks of our Navy.
EVERYONE here is talking about battleships. Almost everyone is excited.
This guy refuses to mention the word “battleship” even in passing.
Court marshal Vice Admiral McLane. He needs to go.

The admiral seems to be discussing "compatibility" as interoperability challenges between U.S. and allied navies—differences in tech, comms, weapons, and tactics that complicate joint ops. It's not about allies being "bad," but systemic hurdles in coordination.
Rating: 5/10—clear core idea but lacks specifics, like a middle school explanation.

Just give me a bunch of picture of all the top military guys, I can pick out the ones that are going to be problems.

If he doesn't like the battleships, he can retire.

Personally I can’t see the purpose of a battleship in today’s warfare but then I guess it depends what they decide to outfit onto it and if they’ve got good ideas for that then sure

These aren't like the old school battleships. Maybe they should have a different label.

Has the money been appropriated yet?

We need more missile cruisers and way more drone deployment ships.

This seems like a big reach from the X poster.

Should of had a Battleship buffet. Little ship sammies, posters, party hats in the shape of a Battleship etc. And a PowerPoint on Battleships with a cool laser pointer in the shape of a shell.

They’re weapons platforms.
You’ve got never trumpers, DEI incompetents, “back in my day” lost in the last war types and “captured by the MIC procurement” guys all in the mix with this, I’m not at all surprised.
In a hyper tech era that will be dominated by AI, drones and robots we’d be better off from a procurement standpoint putting these guys out to pasture. They don’t see what’s coming or they’re too institutionally or financially captured to care.

I'm convinced these are a new generation of frigate or cruiser and someone told Trump they were battleships because that's what he'd understand.

Right there^^^^ Drones are pennies on the dollar compared to guided missiles. Once they get the speed and range of smaller military drones out to a few hundred miles, skimming along the ground at 100 mph. below radar......look out.

He didn't mention the battleships therefore is against them and leading a silent mutiny. Ok.

Throw him in Leavenworth instead

That’s because you’re a moron. I’ve seen you far left wackos on here try to call Elon and Trump dumb in the same day. While you reside in a single wide.
