Anyone tried that new Louisiana Buffet that just opened in the Hammond Aire Shopping Center?

We had planned on going this past Sunday, but didn't make it. However, the reviews I've read have not been positive - running out of food/not replenishing pans, understaffed, etc.

I saw a video on you tube of the food they have on the buffet, that someone posted. Must have been in between the times they didn't have anything in the food trays.
It was their first few days open, so i`ll give them a few weeks before i try them out. I`m sure the price will increase by the time I decide to go.

I wouldn’t go to a buffet in that area of town

You must not be very familar with Baton Rouge...
It's down the street from the BRPD building in a fine area. Not like it is next door to Brookstown.

I went on opening day.
They did a great job at marketing it as the next best buffet in BR.
Its just your typical Chinese buffet, nothing special. Deep friend hard shell blue crabs, sesame chicken, "Crab" Rangoons with just cream cheese as the filing, salt and pepper chicken, basic sushi rolls, hibachi station, all the typical fruits and desserts that you would see at any other Chinese buffet....

The one at Sherwood and Florida was great a few weeks ago.

I did hear they have a Mongolian grill and a ramen bar. They also apparently have snow crab legs but they're very stingy with them, unlike Foo Chow in Walker.

Oh boy

Gotta be the same owners. The "mongolian" grill was what Foo Chow use to have and they discontinued it.

Foo Chow is run well, though. We go there once in a while and I've never been disappointed. That doesn't appear to be the case with this place, at least not yet.

Not a buffet but Lee's Asian fusion is the go to in Watson.
When wife and I went one Sunday night and there were more Asian families eating there than "locals" I knew it was legit.

Hammond Aire isn’t a bad area of town. It’s a hop, skip, and a jump from Town Centre, Bocage, and BRPD HQ.

I mean, I know that sometimes it takes courage just to get out of bed, but geez ...
