I just finished this on netflix and it was really good. I can not believe it has been out since 2016 and I never heard of it.

What is everyone else's thoughts?

Read the book.

Not surprised the movie was good. Great storyline and you would have to be Kathleen Kennedy to screw 11/22/63 up.

Started watching and I am enjoying also. One question

SPOILER:

When he gets in trouble for winning on the big bet why not just head back to present time and restart and maybe go with a smaller bet.

Book is WAY better, as is usually the case, but it really is.

Was so pumped for this show years ago on Hulu after reading the book and was disappointed. The big difference was the inner dialogue and loneliness of the main character in the book compared to the show with the sidekick. The book is amazing.

Saw it in 2023 and loved it. Loved it so much I bought the novel although I haven't read it yet.

Watched it years ago when it came out, heard from my friends who read the book that is better.

Been done many times over the years, ie the same plot.

Would have to start over in 1958 and would lose the other events he fixed.

I really enjoyed it. The part about time pushing back was a great foil to keep from making the mission too easy and add to the tension when an informative moment may be coming up.

This may not be popular, but I especially liked the ending. I don't know how the book ends, but this one would be one of the better endings out of King's books.

Watched it last weekend.

Was perfect timing as we needed something to watch.

All around I'm a JFK nerd when it comes to all of that. I like how they work in other storylines etc, but they definitely had some moments like wtf...ha

I think Casting for the whole show was spot on and great! Franco was "ok", but all of the other characters were really really good for that time period etc.

****SPOILERS
When they come back to 2016 at the end, I'm not a fan of how they made it looks doomsday'sh and everything destroyed etc. I wish they would have kept it more modern looking and realistic, but also paint a picture of which dominos truly fell after he completed his mission...maybe some sort of fast forward where he received a medal of honor etc..

Even back then, they wouldn't have just let him disappear. He would have been recognized and would have been in history books.

I liked the ending of the book (not so much the results but the creative approach to time travel).

When reading the book and imagining the movie cast, James Franco would not have been in my top 50. He was not that great. I was thinking more like a Jude Law/Gordon-Levitt/Edward Norton type.

For the female lead, It was always Gwyneth Paltrow, who I don't particularly like but hers is the face that I saw while reading the book.

The movie could have been 4 out of 5 stars based on the material. Instead just 2.5 for me.
