Nobody outside of Baton Rouge wanted to see Kiffin at a program like LSU. He may be a ****** but the dude can coach and now he's got the backing and brand to recruit .

I have a feeling that by the time Kiffin would have an opportunity to bounce to a school like Alabama, they won't even be remotely as good of a job as LSU at that point. Clearly they have taken a hit in the NIL era, and I am not sure I'd even want to be the guy after Deboer. We can only hope schools like TAMU will continue to underachieve despite their payrolls.

This is exactly it. The anger by those in media was projecting their fear of LSU being dominant.
The media likes the idea of LSU (culture, food, music, people, etc). It lets them write their cute headlines and opinion pieces, but they reserve should be football domination to other programs.

I feel like just this portal run alone should tell you that this is either above or on par with any job in the country. Alabama will always be a great gig because they have a dedicated fan base and a lot of backers, but so does LSU. Kind of a lateral move. If Kiffin ever leaves he's going to the NFL.

I was reading their board and they were saying Kiffin only went after Sam and Longstreet after he contscted Reid who turned Kiffin down.

Which he already tried and failed miserably. I think he learned his lesson through personal experience and watching Saban and is here for the long haul
