Crazy that this guy would turn down being a top five pick to go back to school! How much is Oregon paying him?!

How does this relate to LSU? Just goes to show that NIL has jumped to the shark, and that there are going to be really good players sticking around college football going forward

Probably realizes he could use another year. Good for him.

he might be making a mistake like Nuss did
plus the QB class next year might be better especially if Arch comes out

He could use another year, make $5m and not have to play for the Jets next year.

He was going to the Jets.

I would stay at Oregon too!

maybe, but why not get better coaching from an NFL team that's going to give him a $30 million contract.

And, he'd be one year closer to his second NFL contact.

Good for him. Oregon better count their lucky stars. They were screwed otherwise.

he could also regress (see Nuss, for example) or get hurt.

When you're a high pick, you have to go.

top 5 pick. This year in the NFL shows how development can turn a team around. scary implications if this becomes a trend

He was going to the Jets, the Jets is where top 10 draft picks at QB learn to become door greeters at Walmart...

doesn't matter if QB class is better. Moore's talent is still that of a #1 overall. Let's say people still want Arch #1 regardless, Moore will still go top 5-6 overall. He didn't want to go to a QB graveyard in the Jets (same thing Josh Allen did when he stayed another year to not have to go to the Browns), and those last several games he a turnover machine. It made sense to get paid 5-6 mill (the amount a top 11-10th pick in the draft would get paid per year), to come back.

Why do people still talk like QB contracts in the NFL aren't almost always fully guaranteed?

And if that continues it could cause him to slide. He was a guaranteed top five pick this year

Josh Allen had an effectively worse season coming back and still went #1 overall

Allen completed around 56% in both years people wanted him as a #1 overall pick (remember Richardson from Florida). However he went from 8.6 ypa 3200 yard 28 TDs to 15 ints, to 6.7 ypa 1812 yards 16 TDs to 6 ints. He was even worse running the ball too. Only difference in what was better was his turnovers.

In all honesty Moore's problems don't come close to Allen's, but now I think even more importantly that Moore just doesn't want to go to the Jets lol. Also the Browns could be looking for a QB again this year lol.

I would think Mr. NIKE is paying him well over $5 million to choose Oregon over the NFL. His rookie deal would have been somewhere around 4 years $45-50 million
