I should probably play those games.

They’re pretty badass, the last 2 are a different style but still good nonetheless. Hurst voiced Thor in the Nordic series. Didn’t realize he is 6 foot 6.

Christopher Judge voiced Kratos in the Norse gamesZ
TC Carson in the original trilogy.
I heard they’re adapting the newer games?
the nose is way off but he’ll probably do well

Yes, Atreus will be in this series too. Sounds like it will be mostly the first game so should be a younger Atreus. They will need to do some flashbacks if they want this show to have the emotional impact it should.

Hopefully it’s more Fallout than Lord of the Rings/Wheel of Time

i was hoping we'd get the adaptation of the first 3 games too but not sure we will. maybe some flashbacks but so many iconic moments in the original trilogy
i do hope they cast Richard Schiff to reprise his role of Odin. it's funny that Ryan played Thor in the 2nd god of war game now he's Kratos.

He'll need to work out. He looked a bit soft in The Abandons.
But overall, should be a good casting.

Lame if true

No issues with the casting, I can definitely see it.
Just hoping they don't screw this up.

Absolutely. The original trilogy is basically the Star Wars/LOTR of that era of gaming. The newer games are just… not it. Changing to a Norse setting was fine. Would have personally rather seen him in an Egyptian setting but whatever. However, doing that open world RPG crap just took the soul out of it for me. I played the first new one for about 5-6 hours and it just all felt out of sorts. Felt like they wrote Kratos a great story and then dumped in to an Assassin’s Creed game.
Oh well, hopefully the series is great.

The first of the new ones was one of the better games I’ve played in a decade. The second was pretty meh.
The first trilogy is great but there’s not a ton of story there outside of God of War 3 where they tried. The originals are mostly a Hack n Slash and it’s just Kratos killing and fricking
sure there’s plot beats but you need more than that for a story in a television show. The newer games at least tried to tell a story.
