My basketball gears have been grinded

there’s a certain basketball fan on X who constantly tells everyone to come support the team and how this is a special team.
He posted a pic of the students tonight saying, “there’s more than 40 students here. I was told that wouldn’t happen!”
Then as soon as they lose, he’s vanished. His last post was calling out fans who said the students wouldn’t show up.
Pretty sure he’s known as “Mr. Fun”
He’s grinding my gears.
I say this in jest but in all seriousness, this team is trash and whoever thinks otherwise needs to remove the purple and gold glasses.

Yes JR is super nice guy and love his family but those glasses got to come off. Even he has to start to realize this thing has been over.

He comes off as a great guy. I am pretty sure we even have mutual friends who would make me think he’s first class. I just think it’s time to be realistic

Mr. Fun is a first class guy. But he’s not really in a position to speak freely about the current coaching situation.

People who constantly bash fans for not showing up to watch a bad product, and always badmouth people who simply say the team is not performing well, are the flip side of the coin to people who are always shitting on the team and coach and call anyone who is hopeful the team can turn it around a McMan.
It is possible to pull for LSU basketball and hope the team improves while admitting the team is underperforming, and McMahon has not been a good coach at LSU.

He's a nice guy who has a personal relationship with McMahon. If nothing else, he's just trying to help a friend generate interest/support where there is none. He'll always be one of those who will forever think McMahon was on the brink of greatness but for a "raw deal". But deep down he knows this is the end of the road and his personal relationship with the LSU basketball coach is soon coming to an end.
While it may be annoying to watch the sunshine pumping in the midst of 4 years of failure, his support is genuine. I can at least appreciate that...even if I TOTALLY disagree with his opinion.

Twitter isn’t real life. You can simply not look at it

While admitting that losing Reed and DJ was a very bad setback for this team they still should have won the SC game and especially this game. KY was the proverbial nail in the coffin. While I will still maintain that Mcmahon didn't get the financial support he should have the first 3 years, he needed to win those 2 games regardless of DJ not playing. It is what it is. If he doesn't make the tournament he will most probably be fired . I really don't see the benefit to firing him right now and feel he should get the benefit of getting DJ back and finish the year but the writing is on the wall and they should probably part ways at the end of the season.

There is no "most probably". Verge said in a recent interview that if LSU doesn't make the NCAA tournament her will have to "revaluate" the program.
