Wish he brought receipts and called them out by name. SEC resorting to tampering with FCS teams now is the icing on the cake of the rough last month the conference has had.

Knowing Frank he probably did, just not on X. But there is a lot of that going on.

It was definitely the SEC HC that’s from Hammond…

I saw that clip years ago on a VHS tape. Bambi Meets Godzilla. About a minute of calm, beautiful, pastoral music as the credits roll, then what you posted with a discordant, dark-sounding note that just carries.

If you have a minute and a half, this is the whole thing, it is hilarious to me.

If the SEC wants a player of his so bad, then they should pay a year where that player can practice but has to sit for a year.

The no-sit portal has fricked everyone but the Top 15 money programs.

SLU has had P4 transfers every year going back to the beginning of no sit transfers, not exactly some unique thing in Hammond, America now.

One transfer

8 game penalty after that.

Would solve A LOT

That's the reason all of the P4 coaches want the 9 game Redshirt. An FCS player catches your eye in a game or on film, watch him for 6-8 games, then convince him to early enter into the transfer portal and sit himself the rest of the season. Now instead of getting a 1-2 yr loaner from an FCS school you have a 2-3 year player.

Damn I didn't even think about that. Talk about messing over the little guy.

It won't just be FCS, G5 and even P4s with less resources will get hit as well. Get 2/3 of a season on tape, sit out, transfer, and the haves get an extra year of a hidden gem, or a quality depth piece.

Oklahoma is raiding FCS teams and paying players to be “practice squad” players.
The kid who was contacted did not even start for SLU.

I was thinking about this, and would be extraordinarily shitty for him to do it that way. He has ties, briefly, to SLU and his DC spent a few years at SLU too. Would be way better to make good relationships with the staff and have SLU be the development team. Some of our best players have been on the defensive side of the ball, which fits with them.

I guess expecting loyalty in the current CFB environment is dumb on my part though.

I was curious who it was because everyone with skills to move up has already, graduated, or is trying to go pro.
