When the greatest coach of this era (maybe any era) retires, safe to say the luster isn't going to be as lustery as it once was.

The paint is peeling badly and why would anyone go to the gumps now. Get this . Now the gumps are complaining to ESPN that they are showing their i give up loss to Indiana too many times weekly.

And that Saban character. With Saban gone they are in the soup of about 5 other great programs.

They lost Saban. Saban was the luster. Alabama has no endemic advantages as a program.

Yeah, but unfortunately, LSU has lost its luster even more as of late.

It's great that we got Kiffin and all to hopefully restore our shine, but no one should take us seriously until we make a playoff run considering how much we've fallen on our face the last 5 years.

LSU needs to prove to everyone outside of LSU that we’re for real…..and that means consistently hitting 10, 11, 12 win seasons and being in the semi’s (at least) every year in the CFP. Add in a few championships & there you geaux!

NIL says green(back) jerseys rule the land.

Coach Saban ejected not by coincidence.

Control of his brand is gone. Same for Bama. And all brands, dare I say.

They may have taken a dip, but they are not gone. They still have fine recruiting, a proven coach, and the respect of the college football world. I wouldn’t start betting against them just yet!
