Not that it means anything, but Ryan Theriot said Daniel Harden will be the third starter in the OF. Said he could play OF in the big leagues right now.

Don’t see it at least from the start but Jay has shown if he has 4-5 quality starting outfielders he will rotate them early to where they play 3-4 games in a row and then sit one through first half of the year until the cream rises to the top. Hope he is that good. If he is good enough to surpass returning starters from a Championship team then good night we have a ridiculous amount of talent and depth on this team

At minimum harden is 4th outfielder and will get plenty of time
Maybe he spells Stanfield or brown at times
He could also contend at dh

Harden is a lefty, so we're probably looking at a straight platoon with right Stanfield.

Sucks for one of our familiar names but if its an upgrade over one of those 2 then we are looking really good.

He is listed as a junior. Since his first two years were at a community college, how much eligibility does he have? I assume the Pavia legal ruling applies to baseball.

If Daniel Hardin can hit consistently against D1 pitching, I could see him replacing Chris Stanfield in LF at some point. I think they will both get starts early on based on the opposing pitchers and could sub for each other as well. It’s a good situation for the Tigers.

I don’t know how you don’t roll out the same outfield that won you a natty last year, save swapping DC and Stanny.

Harden will probably start depending on R/L pitching matchups.

He has two years. The pavia ruling didn’t apply to anyone but pavia.
