I am in the Dallas area & I know about 4 or 5 public school teachers here. Every one of them is a militant leftist. We have a crisis on our hands in the public schools.

Taxpayer funded, compulsory mass education is a socialist mechanism.
It's always going to be that way. No matter what you do.
Home school or private school. Those are your options if you don't want your kids to be indoctrinated. And you better pay real close attention to private school if you choose that route.

Another problem with teachers today may be gender. Back in the 50s and 60s women taught elementry school but H.S. had a lot of male teachers. Not just math and science. They also taught history and English. My best teachers were males and old women. The handful of young women were shite. Now the young women dominate the faculties and have female principals who put up with their crap.

most teachers who do get degrees are probably in the liberal arts/studies department.

It completely become some people’s entire identity and it’s like they have to work their preferred brand of politics or throw an insult to the other side into any and all situations.
The funny thing is that by doing this they think it makes them seem well-rounded and intellectually superior but in truth they’re just idiots who are getting played like a fiddle.
