Unbelievable transfer portal class of 38 players after already signing a high quality high school class.

If the coaching is even half decent this year we should murder some teams. I’m really looking forward to the opener against Dabo and Clemson. I’m thinking we’re going to take them behind the woodshed.

I can promise you this. The days of scoring 25pts per game are done.

Yep and we may not be done yet! Still some huge names out there uncommitted. I’d love to get a stud, plug and play LT. I’d love to add a stud edge guy. I think another good DT would be great, and then maybe another CB unless they think one of our safeties will move to cb. If we don’t add anyone else it was still a great portal!

This is legitimately the most excited I’ve been about the program since 2007. I haven’t followed recruiting at all for almost a decade, and now I’m refreshing the board at 1am

I'm trying to stay calm and temper my expectations, but it feels like it's going to be a 20+ point win.

Feel like it’s still missing some PROVEN top end premiere talent on both sides of the line. Wilson/Princewill and or Seaton would change that.

What LSU has done was necessary because a lot of people, myself included, were checking out of caring enough to watch the games. It is very hard to watch the same obvious mistakes get repeated every single game and have it go incorrected.

I don't really know a ton about football so I can imagine how pissed off those fans that do know the game well were. This was a defining moment for the program.

I recently told my buddy this….

Blake Baker only needed a half mediocre offense to support our defense last year, and we would have made the playoffs.

What we have done to address the problem seems too good to be true.

It’s like a kid who won’t back down being picked on at school, he keeps tellling the group of bullies that he’s gonna get his brother, to help deal with the problem, and then the next day, the young kid shows up with Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a. The Rock. And you know what happens to the bullies, they either shite there pants and pass out, run away and cry, or try to fight and get all of their bones crushed.

Point being, what LSU had assembled, won’t end well for any of our opponents. At all. And we are here for it.

this is going to speed up the timeline unfortunately. the narrative around us(which keeps changing)is going to from all the things they said couldnt happen to we blew our load on this roster to not win kiffin is a failure. which newflash that could be said about any team who doesnt win but when youre PE #1 it sticks

Finally! A week 1 blowout against a P5 team! We haven’t seen that since Miles days vs Oregon.

We definitely had a great portal pickup. I think we are still somewhat questionable at OL particularly tackle. While we have the depth, little concerned with limited amount of experience at DT, edge, LB. I think Pickett and Woodland will both be great, I wish we had a little more experienced back ups at CB. I think with this new staff we will be fine but if I had to nitpick concerns those would be them.

If we somehow were to land Seaton, Princewill and pick up one solid CB with good experience then I would say we should be playoff contenders year 1 for sure.

Seems like y’all are getting way ahead of yourselves. It will take time to get this roster all on the same page. I definitely think we will be good, but I would lower my expectations a little bit for early season.

How much more experience do you want at DT and LB? We have the same, if not more than anyone else in the country. You and only run out 2 to 3 of them at a time, so it’s always going to be limited on how many guys see snaps.

I agree with you about edge though. And I’d love another experienced corner so we can keep Woodland at Nickel, I thought he excelled there last year.
