47 degrees in Gillsburg, MS with a light north wind. Lift X 29.5” with the Trypans. Going to give it a go in a set I couldn’t get to last weekend. Should be a good morning. Good luck.

You were ahead of me!
Leake County
Low 30’s with ground level fog
Box Blind over a food plot
.270 Winchester
After being covered up in deer Monday morning before I left, yesterday was my slowest day all season. Some activity overnight after the front. We’ve had 4 inches of rain this week roads are quite snotty.
Good luck and be safe guys!

Box stand watching a couple long power lines
Typically our best stand but movement has just been down all around since about after Christmas, weather probably doesn’t help. Last weekend for me, need something to fill the freezer

Buck hunt
Greensburg, LA
46 degrees, cloudy with 6 mph north wind
Remmy 700 in 7 rem mag with 139 gr hornady interlock handloads
In a fancy box blind watching logging road through planted pines. I can see at least half a mile to my left and 200 yards to my right and absolutely nothing in front or behind me. I sure hope he pops out at 40 yards, lol. Good luck everyone!

Good luck guys. It’s primitive arms season in area 2. I’m sitting this one out but REB JR has a friend coming up to our place in Lincoln Parish trying to lay one down.
We’re coming off our best season ever. Not trophies, but plenty of meat.

A really nice 10 point showed up on my cameras for the first time two days ago, moving at 9:15 am... hopefully he's still around.

Palmetto
47° cloudy ~5mph NW wind
Decided to duck hunt this morning with the pup, even though there aren’t many ducks. The deer stand I want to hunt needs a near perfect N/NNW wind and it didn’t have it this morning. Of course a shooter buck is at the camera in front of the stand right now. This afternoon he better watch out!

Iron will head
Gave the rifle a break, and came to a different place with the bow. I didn’t feel like dealing with the weekend crowd. In my saddle, in a spot I’ve been hunting for a few years. I’ve seen deer more times than not in this spot. A doe will absolutely get it today. Only mature bucks though.
Last night on my way out in the boat, I came across an owl stuck on a yoyo. He went to get the sac a lait that was hooked on it, and got himself tangled up. I cut him free, gave him a ride to the bank, and after a little rest he took off. Pretty awesome little experience. I’m hoping that will break my streak of bad luck this season
Good luck fellas!

Sonofabitch!!! A buck just walked across the road to my right at 70-80 yards. His right side was beautiful but he wouldn’t look at me to get a judgement on spread. Whistle and holler didn’t work? Well, they’re moving this morning.

Well I probably just put a fork in this hunt. Dropped a red pig about a hundred yards out to my left, 4 came out and started munching on corn and I put the crosshairs about 2” below the ear hole. So much for the buck hunt?

You might not see a buck, it won’t be because of shooting that pig!!

Totally agree. I said it because my intentions were to hunt bucks only but I can’t go back to camp and say I saw pigs but didn’t shoot. They’d show my arse the door quickly, lol.

Gotcha, I am always amazed by the amount of people I come across who make claims like “ I wish the neighbors would quit shooting they keep ruining my hunts”
Your hunt might be ruined but it’s not because of bubba redneck shooting hell he shoot’s year around!!

Totally agree. It’s like clockwork around our lease that the locals start shooting guns between 8-9am and 4-5 pm. Those deer are used to it. And when I shot deer with my suppressor on, the other deer rarely run off. They’re more confused on what the hell just happened.
