Why would the NFL want Denver to advance instead of Buffalo?

Took you 7 years to figure that out. You’re a smart one.

Bigger market, more fans. No, it wasn't fixed, but the calls at the end of the game were questionable at best.

Denver has to be a bigger market than Buffalo. Plus the hype of Sean Payton being the first coach to win a super bowl with multiple teams.

You’re right, Wizard. There’s absolutely no frickery going on in the NFL.

Idiot.

So, how much money did you lose betting on Buffalo?

I had no dog in that fight and gave no Fs about who won. The calls late in the game were ALL correct.

So, why didn’t they call the hold on Buffalo in the end zone in OT? They could have ended the game there.

Not really. The Broncos only gained 2 yards on the questionable PI call (they declined roughing the passer).

The real question is why would they not want the the most valuable sports franchise in the world, the team that moves the ratings needle more than any other in the league to advance to even the conference championship just ONCE in 30 years. The Panthers have been to the NFC CG 4 times and to 2 SB but the fixed league apparently doesn’t want the Cowboys that far.

The NFL isn’t MLB or NHL. It’s not driven by local markets. There are less than 10 - probably less than 5 - individual organizations that alone can carry, and Denver certainly isn’t one of them (Dallas, Pittsburgh, GB, maybe NYG / Chi / Philly / LAR / SF). Otherwise, it’s a QB-driven league from a marketing standpoint, with occasional marketing driven by other position superstars / coaches.

Buffalo with Josh Allen is way more attractive than Denver with Bo Nix (before even accounting for his injury).

Questionable? They had a chance to correct the call since it was a turnover. But the replay center/on field refs didn't. Thats not questionable, thats the NFL being rigged.
