Las Vegas: Overrated?

I’ve heard opinions across the spectrum, now I want to hear the OT’s take. Overrated or worth a visit?

It’s both overrated and worth a visit. I like gambling, drinking, music, food, weed, sluts, etc. Vegas has them in spades, but I think I’ve probably been for my last time…last time almost killed me.

Properly rated:
The Strip is expensive AF now, and you get harassed at damn near every corner. It’s extremely hot in the summer. Fremont Street is a bit scummier, but much cheaper gambling. I always have a blast.

It is very expensive now on the strip. Go off strip and its still very fun and way less expensive.

Not overrated at all. We find more to do every time we visit.
Great mountain biking.
World class rock climbing.
Skiing at Lee Canyon 45 minutes away.
Miles of trail running.
End each day with a fantastic restaurant and reasonably priced accommodations.

Vegas is alright. But being in Louisiana we have casinos. So the gambling part of it isn’t really exciting.

It's never not gonna be fun for me. And Take a hit on any hand below 17 when the dealer shows ace, K, Q, J, 10, 9, or 8, cards that are unlikely to make the dealer bust.

Definitely NOT today! Been seven times. Not going back any time soon. Weed everywhere and everything is overpriced. Disgusting not classy.

Maybe this time. Going to the Phish concert at the Sphere. I don’t gamble but will enjoy the food and going to see the Fallout exhibit.

It depends on what you’re into. Everyone should go once. Wife and I go twice a year but we don’t gamble too much. But we enjoy the shopping and fine dining and shows. Every trip we try to do something new. Whether it’s a food place or a new experience. If you go don’t try and do it on the cheap. You will regret it.
