Why do embedded X links lock-up your phone for 10 - 20 seconds?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Happens to me, too. It just started doing it about a month or so ago.

Mine, too. Sometimes longer than that.

Yep.
It might already be a help board topic but I haven't been over there in a while.

Me three. I'm guessing a chrome/memory issue. Although if y'all are using a different browser, then it may be an issue with the embed coding?

It takes time to steal all of your personal data.....

It appears you just can't touch them and scroll. Outside of the link, you can scroll just fine.

It’s never happened to me.
Are you people o. iOS or Android?

I'm on Android. Well, right now I'm on my laptop, I just got on my phone to check if I could scroll if I didn't contact the x-link. I could scroll even if I did, so I think SFP may be correct about it being a memory issue for Chrome users.

unless the embedded post takes up the whole screen. When this happens I find I have to back out of the thread and come back in, scroll fast past it and hope I dont hit another embeded post.

Chrome has been sending one of my work computers (Dell, 16GB DDR5 RAM) into chaos over the same time period.

Has happened to me with Chrome for a month or so now.

It's a scrolling issue, if you land on the X post and it takes up most of your screen, it won't scroll. Try to pick a spot off to the side of the X post and you can scroll it out of the way.

Doesn’t happen to me. Perhaps you shouldn’t look at porn on your cell phone.

WTH would be the point of having internet on your cell phone?
