"It was February 1st in Arizona. The desert winter had taken the edge off the heat, leaving behind one of those deceptively pleasant nights—cool air, quiet streets, stars hanging overhead like they always had. The kind of night that makes you believe everything is exactly as it should be.
Until it wasn’t.
Somewhere in this sun-baked corner of the Southwest, a call came in. Then another. And soon, flashing lights cut through the darkness, illuminating a scene that would leave even seasoned investigators shaking their heads. A life had ended—but the why was anything but clear.
This wasn’t supposed to happen here. Not on a night like this. Not in a place where neighbors waved, doors were left unlocked, and secrets were thought to evaporate in the desert air. But as detectives would soon learn, the desert doesn’t erase secrets.
It preserves them.
And by sunrise, one question hung heavier than the Arizona sky itself:
Who did this… and what really happened on the first day of February?"
Until it wasn’t.

I assume Trump will be blamed for this

Big leap here, but if this turns out to be an illegal immigrant that committed this crime ...

Could only read this in Keith Morrison's voice. Bravo.
