The US is going to collapse from mental illness and mentally fragility.

Are there mentally ill people who are non political or conservative? Sure there are but the overwhelmingly majority of mentally ill and mentally fragile people are part of the Democratic Socialist Hive Mind.
Over the past 10 years the number of whacked out leftist Wokesters has significantly increased and they are eligible to vote to determine your future.
Before you think these people do not impact your ability to live a prosperous and secure life just remember these are the same people who are willing to die to for the Fundamental Transformation of America into a Cultural Marxism dystopian nightmare.
The Democratic Socialists/Cultural Marxists have declared a war/cultural revolution, if they win and you're America First/MAGA, don't think for one second your life will not be negatively affected.
Over the past 10 years the number of whacked out leftist Wokesters has significantly increased and they are eligible to vote to determine your future.

The US won't collapse, only certain segments of the population in densely populated areas, namely the Marxist Dem run blue cities.... the rest of us will be fine.

There is a proven connection between short-form social media and the erosion of critical-thinking skills.
E.g. instagram, chat, AI, texting and similar
The younger generation is training themselves not to critically think because of the tools they choose to use all day long.

It's going to be tough to stop the Cultural Marxism revolution, too many on the right are not engaged to pushback and too many on the left are 100% committed to the Fundamental Transformation of America.
As far as Christians go, there are too many Christians who have embraced Woke Christianity. There are a lot of Christians who are decent people, they do the best to walk in the Light of Christ but they are not going to take an active and physical stand against the evil swallowing the US through Democratic Socialism/Cultural Marxism....they will likely embrace pacifism as the nation falls, as a Christian myself, I can't fault their decision to stay out of the fray. Some will pray and fight and some will pray. In the end, God's will determines what happens to the US, one thing the Bible tells us repeatedly is God eventually brings down debauched and evil nations.

Most of the people I know under age 45, who are on the left side of politics are incapable of having an informed political discussion.

Man don't be so certain of that. This current incarnation of "civilization" in the US is incredibly fragile.
