I know it has been around for decades and is a popular staple in Destin. But I only first went on my last trip there.

I recall it being on the high side of "average".

I'm accustomed to vacations in Charleston, Savannah, and occasionally NOLA, so maybe I'm spoiled.

The menu is huge though, so maybe I should try it a few more times to make up my mind?

Boshamps is definitely better.

It’s a tired, old restaurant, but it’s consistent.

My parents took me there as a kid when we vacationed in Destin every August growing up.

I'll be 46 next week.

ETA: Another annual staple was Pandora's in Fort Walton. #rip

The restaurant group that owns it owns the Crab traps and what not. It’s basically their best restaurant or up there, but the group is basically knocking out Sysco premade food products.

It peaked around 2003-06ish when Mike Sable was the GM. It's still a solid meal and the sunset view is fantastic.

Oh boy.

Which products on their menu are premade?

And you do realize that Sysco is a food distributor, not a processor, huh? EVERY restaurant has a food distributor.

Many restaurant's "proprietary" recipes are prepared in bulk by food manufacturers through NDA and are redistributed back to the restaurant by SYSCO, Ben E. Hill, etc.

Correct. But it’s not Sysco processing it. Sysco is a distributor distributing fresh food and processed food from other companies.

Agreed. Solid is what I meant by "high side of average". And the water taxi through the harbor down to the bars is pretty cool too.

All the downvotes on OP, I guess they think I'm shitting on the place?

I don’t think so. I think this group has Back Porch and Pompano Joes.

No. They're just sick of your stupid arse making multiple pointless threads every fricking day. Like this one that was neither a review or an inquiry. It was just your stupid arse making random commentary that nobody gives a flying frick about.

Across the entire site, Outdoor Board, Georgia Board, OT Lounge, Music Board, Home and Garden, SEC Rant, Money Talk, Food and Drink....

I have created 23 topics in the last 30 days.

Most of these topics have very good engagement scores.

Nothing is as unreasonable and as reliable on this entire website as MobileJosh flying off the deep end to be a dick about the most banal things on a food board.

It's hilarious, in a way. If we ever make a mural celebrating all the local offbeat elements of TigerDroppings it should be a part of it, for certain
