Unconfirmed by news sources, but his social media pages are showing posts his family has shared he passed last night at 95.

My two favorites, Hackman and Duvall gone in one year. frick!

Update: now confirmed dead by major news outlets.

Secondhand Lions is one of my favorite movies of his.
Him and Michael Cane were an elite combo for their roles.

Hope the news isn't true, but he's 95 and you can't hold on forever.

RIP. Living until 95 without top shelf health seems terrible.

That would be terribly sad. One of my favorite actors. RIP Tom Hagen

Great movie. If true, RIP Mr. Duvall, you had a good run.

Looked pretty rough the last post I saw him in. Age had crept up on him.

His best performance was the cop in Falling Down. That little monologue he gave about his daughter at the end to distract Michael Douglas so that his family could escape was gold.
