If I had any talent or was in the animation industry, I would be all over this.

Don Bluth is one of the last masters living and he has expressed the desire to not let his knowledge pass with him.

One of my absolute favorites as a kid. Still holds a place in my heart over 40 years later.

His movies could get really dark, especially for kids. The Secret of Nimh is the most cited example, but An American Tale, and All Dogs go to Heaven both had really trippy and freaky moments.

Yeah, Bluth had no problem with complicated themes in his movies. He didn't underestimate children, and that base formula served Pixar so well in its golden run.

Mine too. I’ve probably seen it more than any other movie ever.
